This is the pond of a temple in TamilNadu, which is polluted by the plastics. The devotees coming to that temple has some prayers, so they give foods to fishes and leave the plastic covers there in the pond. The people are so lazy that they couldnt take the plastics they bring and put it in the dustbin nearby. I was sitting there for one hr and almost 85% of the ppl put the plastics on the pond and in that 85 % majority of them are educated and well dressed so called high society ppl. This incident is very much irritated me since i was thinking that illiterate ppl do such things and they dont care about environment and cleanliness and all but actually this incident showed me the different point of view. It is not the education which teaches us all this concern to the environment but it is the self awareness which plays the important role. The most funny thing is that the ppl coming there to pray in the god and giving food to fishes to get punniya but if they leave those plastics in the pond may kill the fishes and also pollute the water. anyways am sure it happens in all places so temples are not exceptions and the holy ganges too. Till we get self awareness and concern about the environment we will do these things without knowing wat we are leaving for the future generations.
